Americas second tallest bridge 

  • Today the Vance Creek Bridge is a popular place for hikers and thrillseekers. Although it's technically located on private property, that hasn't stopped curiosity-seekers to visit, even though walking across the bridge is pretty damn dangerous. Apps and websites like Instagram, Twitter, Reddit and Facebook have made the bridge a viral hit, as hundreds of people visit every day in spring and summer in order to get the perfect shot to share with their social networks.


Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge | 2h

The Dungeness Sea Spit is entirely within the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge and home of the New Dungeness Lighthouse.

The 756 acre refuge was established in 1915 as a resting and wintering place for Black Brant and other birds. Over 250 species of birds have been noted here over the years. About 91 species nest in the refuge area, including Common Merganser, Cooper’s Hawk, Northern Pygmy-Owl, Vaux’s Swift, Rufous hummingbird, and Willow Flycatcher.

  • Includes batteries to explore, military and historical museums, a marine science center with touch tanks, and a new restaurant with a jail. Best of all, the new electric taxi and economical bus fare make spending an entire day at this historic destination a breeze for boaters to visit.
